Groups of farmers have blocked several roads in the country as part of the National Agricultural Strike.
Mexico City, October 28 (However).- The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) reported this Tuesday that farmers of various entities of the country maintain locks in various road points; demand that the Government of the President Sheinbaum increase the guarantee prices of its products, especially corn.
“The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) reports on the closure of roads in different states of the country due to mobilizations of agricultural producers, so users are recommended to take their precautions,” the agency indicated.
According to federal authorities, peasant blockades take place in states such as Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacán, Sinaloa and Morelos. In total, closures have been recorded in at least 33 highway points due to demonstrations by farm workers.

Guanajuato is the entity with the highest number of demonstrations reported so far. The SICT reported at least 18 blockades on roads and highways in the state.
Jalisco is the other entity affected by these mobilizations; The blockades prevent access to the Guadalajara Metropolitan area. The protesters keep closed accesses such as the Macro Bypass of Guadalajara, Guadalajara-Colima, Carretera a Nogales and the Caseta del Nodo road entrance to the municipality of Ocotlán. Three blockages are also reported in at least three points on the Mexico-Guadalajara Highway.
At 10:00 p.m. this day, almost 44 hours of protest by the corn producers who are installed on the Guadalajara-Nogales highway were completed, where they maintain road closures in both directions of traffic.

“In Michoacán, road closures continue on the Maravatío-Zapotlanejo Highway, at the Panindícuaro booth, at kilometer 307+000; Maravatío-Zapotlanejo Highway, at the Zinapécuaro booth, at kilometer 202+200,” the agency notified.
The State Center for Command, Communications, Computing, Control, Coordination and Intelligence (C5) of this entity reported this Tuesday that at 10:39 a.m. the road blockades continued at the following points:
- Zinapécuaro: Toll Highway 15D Atlacomulco–Zapotlanejo.
- Beautiful View: Western Highway Km 390 (Toll Booth).
- Vista Hermosa: Tanhuato-Vista Hermosa junction to the highway.
- Panindícuaro: Toll Booth.
- La Piedad: La Piedad-Numarán near Villas de las Lomas.
- Ecuandureo: Oeste Méx-GDL Km360, Plaza de Cobro.
- Jiquilpan: Jiquilpan-Sahuayo federal highway. Reference: Glorieta de Liconsa.
- Venustiano Carranza: Venustiano Carranza-La Barca Highway. Reference: 4 Corners Cruise.

In Sinaloa it is reported that there is a presence of rural producers who keep toll booths blocked in Ahome, Guasave and Culiacán. A blockade has also been maintained since yesterday on the Siglo XXI Highway that connects Morelos with Puebla.
