After the derailment and explosion of several cars of a freight train in Tepetitlán, Hidalgothe emergency services treated an injured person, reported the Railway Transport Regulatory Agency (ARTF) through the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT).

Through a statement, The ARTF said that Civil Protection elements also attended to protect the perimeter where the fire occurred and that, it assures, it is an unpopulated area.
He added that the track where the freight train that derailed and then exploded, leaving a column of smoke visible several kilometers from the area, was operated and licensed by the Ferromex company.
He explained that personnel from the company involved were mobilized to the point of the incident to cooperate and expedite attention to this incident.
Meanwhile, the Railway Transport Regulatory Agency reported the event to the Safety, Energy and Environment Agency (ASEA) so Coordination is maintained with the corresponding authorities to collaborate and collect all information regarding the incident.
