FGJ-Edomex arrests “El Comandante” for murder of B-King

A key witness reported that “Regio Clown” and “B-King” were murdered in a home in “El Apá” and later dismembered in a recycling workshop located in Iztapalapa.

Mexico City, October 30 (However).- The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) announced this Thursday that Cristopher “N”, alias “El Comandante”, was arrested for being the alleged perpetrator of the murder of the artists of Colombian origin Regio Clown” y “B-King. The investigations, according to the extensive report of the investigations into the caserevealed a network of drug trafficking y extortion which has led to the arrest of another 15 people.

“The investigations of all the criminal acts referred to incorporate information provided by witnesses, acts of field and office investigation, monitoring of videos from public and private cameras, as well as open sources, judicial authorizations such as obtaining preserved data, search and arrest warrants, as well as various experts, which allows us to establish as an investigative hypothesis that the homicide of the Colombian musicians is related to the marketing of narcotics, debts of one of them with a criminal group and his personal relationship with a subject identified as alias ‘El Pantera’,” explained the FGJ-Edomex.

Of the 16 people arrested for the crime, 10 are of foreign origin (from Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba and Spain) and would have participated as perpetrators of the homicide or would be related to that and other crimes, such as the marketing of the drugs 2-CB (“tusi”) and “Coco Channel.”

According to the investigation, since last September 2 and by orders of “El Pantera”, “El Comandante” instructed a subject identified as Mariano “N” to serve as the victims’ driver and assistant. Days later, Mariano was sent to Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) to pick up “B-King.”

On September 14, “El Comandante” transported “B-King” and DJ “Regio Clown” from a hotel in Polanco to an event called “Sin Censura” in Mexico City, where narcotics were sold, aboard a green van with GAC GS8 license plates. The authorities indicated that the vehicle belonged to the romantic partner of “El Comandante”, who had gained the trust of the victims by making them believe that they would start business together, in agreement with “El Pantera” and another subject identified as “El Apá”.

Two days later, on September 16, “El Comandante” ordered Mariano “N” to, on instructions from “El Apá”, transfer the Colombians from Plaza Miyana to the Renovación neighborhood, in the Iztapalapa Mayor’s Office. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the accused knew that in reality the Colombians would be taken to a place where they would be deprived of their lives, after a payment of 200 thousand pesos made by “El Pantera.”

A key witness reported that “Regio Clown” and “B-King” were murdered in a home in “El Apá” and later dismembered in a recycling workshop also located in the Renovación neighborhood. At that site, plastic and raffia bags similar to those found at the place where the remains were found were used.

The investigations determined that the bodies were transported in a red Ford Expedition truck, the same model that Mariano “N” used days before to pick up “B-King” at the AIFA. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, those responsible abandoned the remains in the State of Mexico along with a message that intended to divert the lines of investigation.

The witness also revealed that “El Pantera” threatened all those involved, including “El Comandante”, “El Apá” and Mariano “N”, warning them that “he would have the first person who spoke killed” and that they should not return to Mexico City or the State of Mexico until December. These statements, indicated the Prosecutor’s Office, reinforce the hypothesis of criminal coordination with specific roles and threats to guarantee silence.

The Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Mexico reported that Cristopher “N” “had control over essential aspects of the execution, by coordinating and directing the phase of attracting the victims through deception and manipulation of their trust to ensure the result planned by the group.”

Qualified homicide in the State of Mexico can carry penalties of up to 70 years in prison, while the crimes of extortion and kidnapping associated with the case could increase the sentence to up to 100 years in prison. Federal and local authorities announced that they will continue with the investigations to completely clarify the facts and arrest the others involved.
