
Five soldiers have been shot in an ‘active shooter incident’ at the US Army’s Fort Stewart base in Georgia.
The mass shooting broke out in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team complex at 10.46am on Wednesday, according to Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield.
A shooter was apprehended at 11.35am.
‘All Soldiers were treated on-site and moved to Winn Army Community Hospital for further treatment,’ stated Fort Stewart airfield.
‘There is no active threat to the community.’
