61-year-old Minor Catledge, resident of Interlachen – about 105 miles northeast of Orlando, has been charged with aggravated assault following a heated confrontation on Friday, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
According to The Independent, deputies said Catledge initially confronted his neighbor while she was walking her dog on a public trail near his home. The woman told officers that Catledge believed the land belonged to him and warned her that he would ‘eat her dog’ if she trespassed again.
The matter was believed to be resolved after deputies explained the path was public property. However, just over an hour later, Catledge allegedly showed up at the victim’s home armed with two pocket knives, threatening the woman and her family.
An Interlachen police officer who responded to the scene also heard Catledge making threats, and the victim reported that he vowed to stab her for contacting law enforcement.
Catledge was arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail.”While on the way to the Putnam County Jail, Catledge made several statements to the deputy that he was going to ‘beat’ (the victim) when he got out of jail,” The Independent quoted the sheriff’s office as saying.
