For almost a decade, between 1994 and 2003, he was actively out of political life until he started again as a multi-member deputy of the PRI, where he served as president of the Budget and Public Accounts Commission between 2003 and 2006.
A year later he was elected national president of the Colosio Foundation, AC and, later, he held positions as secretary of National Executive Committee Financesmember of the Advisory Council of the Institute of Political, Economic and Social Studies, among others.
During his absence from politics, in the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), his alma mater, he was president of the UNAM board of trustees, president of the Board of Trustees of the UNAM Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as president of the Association of Graduates of the UNAM Faculty of Accounting and Administration.
Throughout his career he also worked as a columnist in national media such as The Universal y The Sun of Mexico. He was also part of the National Institute of Public Administration, the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants, the Mexican Academy of Comprehensive Auditing, the College of Public Accountants of Mexico, the Senior Management Forum and the Mexico-Israel Cultural Institute.
Francisco Rojas González is fired
Rojas González, who was a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) since 1960, he was fired by this political movement to which he belonged all his life.
“His legacy in the country’s public life is reflected in the positions he held with commitment and responsibility: he was director of PEMEX and of the CFEas well as a federal deputy and coordinator of the PRI Parliamentary Group in the LXI Legislature,” the party expressed through its X account after deeply regretting the death of the politician, whom they described as an “outstanding PRI member and exemplary public servant.”
