Freddy Brazier has returned to social media and broken his silence amid raging rumours that he’s set to become a dad.

Over the weekend, news broke that the 20-year-old—whose father is TV presenter Jeff Brazier—is expecting a baby with an ex-girlfriend.

While yet to comment on the stories, model Freddy has been ‘blindsided’ by the whole thing, according to sources, who also claim he is leaning on his own dad for support.

Posting for the first time since the baby bombshell dropped, Freddy took to Instagram tonight to announce he’s taking a break.

He shared the brief statement on the page for his new podcast, titled A Load of Old Cobblers.

In a Story, he is seen smiling as he greets a horse while out on a walk, having added the song Where’d All the Time Go? by Dr. Dog.

His text read: ‘Taking time out to work on a few things.

‘Podcast will still be released, just ain’t got a date for yah! [sic]’, followed by a praying hands a heart emoji.

His post comes after dad Jeff, 46, sought parenting advice from his own followers, making a lighthearted quip about the route his youngest has gone down.

Sharing a selfie of him and Freddy last night, the This Morning parenting expert penned: ‘If someone could send me that parenting guidebook, particularly “early adult years the unconventional path” that would be really helpful, thanks [kiss emoji and laughing emoji].’

The sweet snap showed the father and son duo cuddled up, with insiders claiming the baby news has brought them back together after a fiery feud.

Earlier this year, Freddy told the Daily Mail in a savage interview that he ‘didn’t want’ to see his dad, adding that he and his brother Bobby, 22, were barely speaking either.

He went on to accuse Jeff of being obsessed with his ‘image’ and having no time for his kids, whom he shares with the late Jade Goody.

Freddy further heaped praise on his grandmother, Jackiey Budden, who was Big Brother star Goody’s mother and with whom he previously lived. Jeff had taken legal action to prevent Freddy from seeing her, which the youngster vowed would not happen.

This came shortly after he was allegedly spotted out in London with his nan, smoking a joint with her after becoming ‘addicted’ to smoking at age 12.

While Jeff did not retaliate himself to the comments, Bobby did, addressing his brother’s behaviour in July by telling The Sun: ‘Freddy’s very sensitive and wants to please. And when he grows up a little bit, that will serve him well.’

It’s believed 2023 Strictly finalist Bobby has also now distanced himself from the bright lights of showbiz, with sources claiming he’s moving to India to pursue the Hare Krishna religion, shortly after leaving EastEnders.

Thankfully, the rift between Jeff and Freddy has healed, with insiders claiming he even wishes to meet his son’s ex so they can work through the situation ‘together’.

However, given the brief nature of the romance and how it ended due to a series of bitter rows, Freddy reportedly wants a DNA test to confirm he is the biological father.

‘There was only one person that Freddy could have turned to,’ a close source added to the Mail. ‘His dad.’

‘It came as a shock to Freddy that he is going to be a dad, and he needed some help navigating it. Jeff has been amazing and is helping him so much.’

However, Freddy is said to be ‘devastated’ that his mum, who died in 2009, aged 27, from cervical cancer, won’t get to meet her first grandchild.

Goody previously continued working and filming for her reality show while she was unwell to make money for her sons, who were just four and five when she died.

Then, before her death, the TV personality created a photo album, which had a final message attached for her boys.

It read: ‘Dear Bobby and Freddy—I have asked for this book to be made so that when you are older, you can remember just how much fun we had.

‘I thank God that we made the most of our time together, and I treasure the moments we shared. These are the most precious moments.

‘Some person much wiser than me once said that if you never discovered something you would die for, then you haven’t lived. Well, you are both proof that I have lived, I will always. Mummy.’

Goody’s death over a decade ago raised huge awareness for cervical cancer screenings as she battled through the disease publicly.
