The Friends cast came together this week, two years on from the death of their co-star Matthew Perry, who died of an accidental drug overdose aged 54.
The actor, who was adored by a legion of fans for his role as Chandler Bing, died in October 2023, with an autopsy later revealing the cause of death wasd ‘acute effects of ketamine’.
Jennifer Aniston, 56, Courteney Cox, 61, Matt LeBlanc, 58, Lisa Kudrow, 62, and David Schwimmer, 59, have contributed to a special collection of artwork for The Matthew Perry Foundation.
The vibrant prints, which each of the cast members were pictured signing, will raise money for charity this festive season, in collaboration with Soundwaves Art and the artist Tim Wakefield.
The foundation shared the snaps of each Friends star signing the limited edition artwork, which used the indelible sitcom theme tune as the basis for the visual designs, on Instagram.
The post was captioned: ‘Exciting news! The cast has teamed up with Soundwaves Art and artist Tim Wakefield for a very special collection of artwork this holiday season.
‘Tim has transformed the actual soundwaves of the Friends theme song into these beautiful designs each inspired by a different character, and each cast member has autographed their own small run of artworks.
‘And in collaboration with the estate of Matthew Perry we have produced a very limited edition of artworks embossed with Matthew’s official signature.
‘All profits will be supporting charities chosen by the cast, including the Matthew Perry Foundation and their work helping those struggling with the disease of addiction.’
Signed prints are being sold for $600 [£450] while unsigned ones will be on sale for $100 [£75].
It comes after the doctor who gave Matthew Perry ketamine was handed a 30-month sentence in court last week.
Following an investigation, five people were charged in connection with his death.
This included his live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, Erik Fleming, Dr Salvador Plasencia, Dr Mark Chavez and Jasveen Sangha, who was dubbed the ‘Ketamine Queen’.
Friends fans are currently facing down a long, hard winter without the comfort watch show, as its set to leave Netflix at the end of December.
The sitcom, with its giant coffee cups, never-ending Ross and Rachel courtship and not-so-realistic picture of New York real estate, has been a certifiable hit on Netflix.
The show’s Netflix profile has now put up an eviction notice, letting subscribers know that Friends will be gone by the penultimate day of the month (December 30).
Watch Friends on Netflix (for now).
