It turns out, a lot of the Love Island 2025 cast members have been on TV before. I mean, are we surprised? Every year the Islanders assure us they’re only on the show for love, but lap up being famous, too. Well it would seem that for many of the contestants this year, the villa isn’t their first attempt at cracking it on the small screen.
Some have appeared on TV shows through their work, and others have been on other reality shows, and even tried dating on TV prior to now. Here’s a rundown of all the Love Island 2025 cast members who have been on TV before.
Harry
Harry is a footballer, and before the villa, appeared on a Sky Sports YouTube show. During the episode, Aaron Ramsdale and Adam Lallana played a game of guess the footballer. They asked a lineup some football related questions, but only one person in the group was actually a pro. That person was of course Harry.
Yaz
Casa Amor bombshell Yaz has been on reality TV before, as she tried her luck on The X Factor! In case you missed it, she did mention it on the show, and said: “Before I was a DJ, I was a singer in a girl band. We were on The X Factor. We came in eighth place.”
She was in a band called Four of Diamonds, who made it to the live shows in 2016. They were voted out during week five. Yaz was 17 at the time.
Sophie
Sophie was only in the villa for a day, but she had previous TV experience. She was once a guest on Lorraine, sharing the ITV couch with stand-in presenter Ranvir Singh. Sophie was introduced as an advocate for body positivity, and was promoting her book, In My Skin.
The 25-year-old used to be a fire breather and suffered near-fatal burns while working at an event in Chicago in 2022. “I was at a charity event and the air con blew the fire back in my face and it hit from my chest to just below my eyes,” she told The Tab. “I’m lucky to be alive.” Her whole face and chest was burnt, and she was rushed to a hospital, where she spent a whole month in intensive care by herself.
Sophie is now a regular at influencer events, and has become part of the industry. She told The Tab she’s “always been around industry people” so influencing and reality TV life “comes naturally” to her.
Boris

Casa boy Boris has previously appeared on a Slovenian reality TV show, The Farm. On this, contestants live and work on a farm to compete for prize money. During a pre show interview, Boris said he “didn’t believe in” falling in love on reality TV, and didn’t approve of “nudity on camera”, and was going on the show for a “new experience”. Um, awkward?!
Lauren has already been on Love Island!

It would seem one of the Casa girls is no stranger to Love Island. Lauren Wood was a “guinea pig” Islander – which I didn’t even know existed. Apparently, they’re a set of people who go out to the villa, and pretend to be Islanders in a dry-run. They test the mics, camera angles and other production things.
A source told The Sun: “Lauren was one of the dry run Islanders but bosses loved her so guaranteed her a slot in Casa Amor. Fans will feel like she’s going in there as a producer plant as she’s been specially chosen and has the added advantage of having been among crew, in the villa, and knows how everything works.
“Certainly it’ll help her feel a bit more comfortable and confident. There’s been other Islanders in the past who went from a dry runner to full cast. 2023’s winner Sanam Harrinanan was part of the dry run cast and then went all the way.”
Cach

It would seem the Casa lot were really seasoned pros! Cach appeared on the first ever series of MTV’s Are You The One? UK, back in 2022. It’s another dating show, where singles are matched based on “modern” algorithms. By the fact he’s on Love Island now, I think we can say Cach was unsuccessful.
