At the time of its release, Casio made the G-Shock G-Steel as its thinnest design ever, which is shocking when you consider the fact that it’s Bluetooth compatible. A 12.9mm case of stainless steel, the watch fits snugly against the wrist, promoting snag-free movement and a lightweight feel despite the watch’s metal construction. The watch also has a mineral glass covering and Neobrite hand coating, which promotes glow-in-the-dark visibility.
The G-Shock G-Steel will last a long time for more reasons than the metal casing, however. It has solar-powered batteries that power the hands’ movement as well as digital displays that give full calendar readouts, alarms, world times, and other classic watch uses like a stopwatch and countdown timer, most of which can be configured via Bluetooth. Plus, with a 200-meter depth water resistance and the classic G-Shock promise of shock resistance, there’s not much out there that will be able to defy this watch.
