Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) spotted Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) with Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale and couldn’t help but fear for her.
Last week, Gabby’s partner Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) was subjected to a homophobic attack by a man called Mike.
Vinny invited Mike over to his house after meeting up with him a few times. When they sat down though, Vinny became uncomfortable as the new face suggested that Vinny wanted them to sleep together.
As it dawned on him that Mike was actually a completely different person, Vinny tried to run out of his home. Mike stopped him, and proceeded to punch and kick Vinny.
The scenes were incredibly hard to watch. Vinny was left on the floor, shaking and completely terrified. Mike managed to steal £10,000 from Vinny, took his wedding rings, and then left.

Due to the fact Vinny’s mate Kammy is the only person who knows he may not be straight, he was left with a choice in the aftermath of the attack. Either he could tell the truth and therefore confront his true thoughts about his sexuality, or he could lie.
Vinny chose the latter because he’s engaged to Gabby, and doesn’t want to destroy her life with the truth. As a result of hiding the reality though, it meant Vinny had to create another story that explained his stomach injuries.
Gabby then witnessed an argument between Vinny and Kammy. It wasn’t really violent, but the scene allowed Vinny to frame Kammy for the attack.
Kammy was left bewildered. He understood why Vinny was hiding the secret about his sexuality, but believed he had reached a point where the lying had to stop. Vinny didn’t agree though, and proceeded to damage his friendship with Kammy as the lie carried on.

Away from this, Kammy has found a pleasant distraction in the form of getting to know Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper). They’re definitely not boyfriend and girlfriend at the moment, but Kammy is respecting of Belle’s wishes. They are going slow, and simply enjoying hanging out.
Spending time together in this evening’s episode looked like a kayaking event at HOP. As Belle and Kammy chatted in The Hide about life jackets and trying not to fall in the water, Gabby was watching.
In the pub that afternoon, Gabby told Vinny that she feels bad for Belle. Under the impression that Kammy did attack Vinny, Gabby believes Belle’s new love interest is as violent as Tom King.

Vinny told Gabby that if Belle and Kammy become a proper item, he will tell her about the attack.
In the coming episodes though, that very quickly goes out of the window.
Gabby is desperate to get at Kammy even though she can’t call the police, so she tells Belle about his apparent dark side.
Belle is horrified – with her history of abusive men, this is enough for Belle to call time on their fledgling romance. She refuses to allow another violent man into her life.
Kammy tries to defend himself, but Belle can’t take the risk and calls it all off. Kammy is raging – he’s innocent after all. Disappointed that their dating has come to an end, Belle goes to offload on Vinny.

Vinny is in turmoil; he can’t tell the truth, but he’s destroyed to know he’s the reason she and Kammy won’t be going any further. Vinny later tries to apologise for the results of his actions, but Kammy is beyond it all at this point. Having got him in trouble and turned people against him, Kammy has had enough.
A hopeful Kammy tries one more time with Belle but it’s a closed door, she cannot take a chance having just freed herself of Tom.
Vinny’s guilt raises exponentially when he sees how gutted Belle is too. Will his conscience catch up with him? Or will Kammy feel forced to spill the beans?
