Mexico City, December 1 (However).- The Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) reported this Monday that federal and state authorities of Tamaulipas they managed to dismantle a banda dedicated to the extortion that operated within a penalin addition to the execution of orders apprehension contra 12 alleged members of the criminal group.

According to the investigations, the main victims of these extortionists were adolescents and older adults who reside in the municipality of Matamoros.

To carry out their extortion operations, the alleged members of the gang used around 80 telephone numbers from various companies, in addition to having more than 70 bank accounts in which they concentrated the deposits made by their victims.
As a result of these findings, authorities issued arrest warrants for detention against 12 subjects, identified as César Enrique “Z”, Edgar “C”, Enrique “A”, Jesús “C”, Juan Diego “G”, Talos Luciano “T”, Felipe de Jesús “V”, Martín “M”, Medardo Ernesto “M”, Vicente “M”, Juan Francisco “R” and Eduardo “G”, the latter was also accused of extortion.
The detained persons were placed at the disposal of the corresponding authority to determine their legal situation.
Elements of the SSPC, Secretariat of National Defense (Defense), Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), Attorney General’s Office (FGR), National Guard (GN), the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) of the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), the state Attorney General’s Office, the Specialized Unit in Combating Kidnapping (UECS), participated in the operation that led to the dismantling of a gang dedicated to extortion that operated from a prison in Reynosa. the Antikidnapping and Antiextortion Unit (UAA) and the Tamaulipas Public Security Secretariat.
