Gauteng will experience mild weather conditions – Bundlezy

Gauteng will experience mild weather conditions

Residents across Gauteng should prepare for a crisp start to the week as daytime highs are expected to remain mild.

The South African Weather Service has forecast cool to warm conditions for most parts of the province.

“We are expecting fairly mild conditions, with a high of 20°C in Johannesburg and 22°C in Pretoria,” said Phemelo Zonke.

No Warnings for Gauteng, but Winds Elsewhere Raise Caution

While Gauteng residents will not experience severe weather alerts, Zonke warned that strong winds affecting other parts of the country may impact travel routes passing through central regions.

“A yellow level 1 warning has been issued for damaging interior winds through the central regions of the Northern Cape into the northeastern parts. This could lead to difficult driving conditions and possible disruption to structures,” she said.

Although Gauteng is not directly affected, residents planning to travel over the next few days, primarily through connecting routes, should remain cautious.

High-Level Cloud Presence to Persist

Forecasters also predict that high-level cloud will linger over parts of the province, contributing to cooler mornings and evenings.

“There will be some high-level cloud from time to time, but overall we’re looking at stable and mild weather over Gauteng,” Zonke said.

With temperatures in nearby regions such as Limpopo peaking at 27°C in Phalaborwa and 25°C in Lephalale, Gauteng sits comfortably within the cool to warm range expected during this transitional period.
