After four years of intensive project development work, Geiger Project Development has successfully completed the Premier Inn Hotel in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. On October 9, 2025, the building was handed over to the operator and the project was successfully sold to a family office in a tense market environment. The handover to the end investor was mediated by FRANK Immobilien from Stuttgart. The hotel is scheduled to open on November 28, 2025.
The hotel is in a strategic location, surrounded by renowned companies such as Porsche, Siemens and Bosch. The proximity to the A81 motorway and the excellent public transport connections make it an attractive destination for business travelers and tourists. The project was realized on a property that was previously used for commercial purposes, which previously served as an industrial area and later as the location of a car dealership.
On the approximately 3,500 square meter area, 204 rooms were created on five floors with a gross floor area of 7,700 square meters. The building meets the requirements of the ESG taxonomy, complies with the KfW 55EE standard and is awarded the DGNB gold certificate. These sustainable construction criteria underline the quality and future viability of the project.
Premier Inn, a subsidiary of the British hotel group Whitbread, is one of the most expansive hotel operators in Germany. With around 65 hotels in Germany and over 800 worldwide, a long-term lease agreement of at least 25 years was concluded. This shows the confidence in the quality of the location and the construction work of the Geiger Group, which was able to successfully complete the project despite the challenges of the corona pandemic and the Ukrainian crisis.
The Geiger Group was involved in the project with several business areas. Geiger Environmental Renovation was responsible for dismantling the old building and preparing the construction site in an environmentally friendly manner. Geiger Project Development coordinated the entire project development as the client’s representative, while Geiger Turnkey Construction took over the planning and construction. The plan is for Geiger Immobilien to take over the management of the existing property.
