Cancún.- My work as a legislator has been guided by a firm conviction: to consolidate the Second Floor of the Fourth Transformation, promoting reforms and legislative actions with a social vision, stated tonight the senator for Quintana Roo, Gino Segura.
“We have left behind a model that concentrated wealth in a few hands. Today we build shared prosperity, putting those who have the least at the center. For the good of all, first the poor,” he stressed before hundreds of people gathered in the dome of the “José María Morelos” sports unit in Cancún.
In an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and unity, thousands of Quintana Roo residents gathered to accompany the senator Eugenio “Gino” Segura during his First Legislative Report, an event that brought together representatives from all sectors of society.
The event was attended by the governor Mara Lezama Espinosathe president of the Senate of the Republic, Laura Itzel Castillo Juárez, as well as federal and local legislators, municipal presidents of Quintana Roo, as well as business, union, educational and social leaders, who recognized the results of the Quintana Roo legislator.
“Here is the best movement in the world, a living and vibrant movement. You are the heart, the people of Quintana Roo,” said Gino Segura at the beginning of his message, receiving a standing ovation from the audience that packed the venue.
In his message, he recognized the leadership of the president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, whom he described as examples of humanist, close and transformative governments:
“We have many Presidents and many Governors. With them, Mexico and Quintana Roo have direction, certainty and social justice.”

According to the information he provided, in his first year as senator, Gino Segura presented 22 initiatives and 8 points of agreement, focused on key issues such as security, environment, tourism, youth, equality and social justice.
Among his most relevant proposals, he highlighted the initiative to modify the formula for the distribution of federal resources, seeking that Quintana Roo receives a fair budget proportional to its economic contribution to the country.
Likewise, he highlighted the work of the Transformation Houses, from where more than 4,000 citizen services have been provided and wellness, education and mental health programs are promoted.
“Being from Morena is being 100% territory. Our movement is built with the people, listening and resolving together,” he reiterated.

He also recalled the actions in the territory: People’s Forums to build legislative proposals, Animal Welfare Days with free veterinary services, physical activation campaigns and the citizen resource in defense of the Villa Blanca reef in Cozumel, supported with more than 12 thousand signatures.
“We say yes to development, but never at the expense of the environment. Quintana Roo, “The people decide,” he reaffirmed.
In the final part of his message, the senator called for strengthening the unity of the movement as a key to continuing the transformation.

“Unity is the strength to transform. My commitment is clear: defend the transformation, work with honesty and always be close to the people. Because in Quintana Roo, the transformation has someone who defends it,” he stated
The meeting ended with a standing ovation. Gino Segura thanked his family for the support—his wife Lucila, his son on the way Eugenio, and his parents—who accompanied him in this first year of public service.
