HERMOSILLO.- The governor Alfonso Durazo confirmed that state and federal agencies carry out an investigation after the death of a girl what was stung by a scorpion at a preschool. He reported that the unfortunate event is being attended to by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), the Ministry of Healthin their corresponding part and the State Attorney General’s Office (COUNTRY) is doing the research.
The events occurred last Monday in the “Ignacia E. de Amante” preschool located in the central neighborhood of Hermosillo.
According to versions of parents on campus, The minor asked permission to go to the bathroom and was stung by an animal. Campus personnel requested support from the Red Cross but the ambulance did not arriveso the girl was transferred to a hospital in Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in a Municipal Police patrol car where he died hours later.
On social networks, parents demanded a thorough investigation into the death of the minor because they believe there was an omission in medical care.
“The girl was immediately taken to a medical center because the mother is a Social Security beneficiary and that is the reason why she was taken to that institution. It is an obviously regrettable fact.”

“We are working with Education, with the Prosecutor’s Office, with the Mexican Social Security Institute and of course close to the family, supporting, as much as we can at this time as well,” the governor said.
