Global superstar Drake lands in Exeter Airport

Ahead of his shows in UK cities this month, Drake’s private plane has been seen parked at Exeter Airport.

Travellers at Exeter Airport were caught by surprise today, seeing “Drake’s private jet parked up at Exeter Airport”.

A witness shared a photo of the sky-blue plane “parked up right by the roadside entrance for the airport”.

Drake’s private jet is a customised Beoing 767-200ER cargo freighter, gifted to Drake by CargoJet as part of a promotional partnership, according to SimplyFlying.

The website states that Drake’s private jet is worth $185 million alone, not including the refurbishment which reportedly costed over $100 million.

Drake and his team spread the CargoJet name worldwide by posting photos and videos promoting the company.

“Supporting homegrown businesses has always been a top priority of mine, so when an opportunity came up to get involved with CargoJet, a great Canadian company, I was honoured to do so,” said Drake.

With his upcoming European tour this summer, the cost of fuel for the tour is expected to exceed into the millions.

Drake’s private jet is reportedly “worth more than the man himself,” who in 2020 had a net worth of $180 million.

The rapper will perform at Wireless Festival at Finsbury Park this weekend, before playing three nights each in Birmingham and Manchester later this month, PlymouthLive reports.

His tour dates include the following:

  • Sunday, July 20: Birmingham, Utilita Arena
  • Monday, July 21: Birmingham, Utilita Arena
  • Wednesday, July 23: Birmingham, Utilita Arena
  • Friday, July 25: Manchester, Co-op Live
  • Saturday, July 26: Manchester, Co-op Live
  • Monday, July 28: Manchester, Co-op Live
