DÜSSELDORF / LONDON (IT BOLTWISE) – Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH is cooperating with NRW.Mobidrom GmbH to advance the digitization and networking of transport in North Rhine-Westphalia. By providing comprehensive parking space data, a central basis for innovative mobility solutions is created. The collaboration between Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH and NRW.Mobidrom GmbH marks a significant step towards a digitalized and networked mobility infrastructure in North Rhine-Westphalia. Goldbeck, as one of the first private sector operators of parking properties, provides comprehensive data from its 62 parking properties and e-charging stations. This data includes location information, operating hours, tariffs and geo-coordinates, which are provided in accordance with data protection regulations.
By integrating this data into the MOBIDROM data platform, it is made usable for a variety of mobility applications. This enables more efficient traffic control and helps reduce emissions. The partnership thus creates a central basis for innovative mobility solutions that support both cities and municipalities in data-based transport planning.
Stephan Pieper, Managing Director of Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH, emphasizes the importance of the cooperation: “Thanks to our digitalized way of working and data-based processes, we can provide relevant mobility data on an ongoing and up-to-date basis. Our technological flexibility enables us to integrate new data sources at any time and expand existing systems.”
The State Agency for Mobility Data plans to further develop its services such as the Verkehr.NRW traffic portal. In combination with the mobility data, transparency for travelers is increased and tailored route recommendations are made possible. Particularly highly frequented locations can be specifically relieved and the volume of traffic can be sustainably reduced.
