This provoked an immediate reaction from Shannon, who turned to the Mexican-American fan to hurl insults with the passion and intolerance that characterize the worst moments of the internet in person.

The video of the altercation, recorded by Ricardo himself, quickly went viral and reached the ears of the company where the aggressor worked.

In a matter of hours, ManpowerGroup issued a statement confirming his dismissal:
“As soon as we became aware of this video, the individual was immediately suspended and we launched an investigation. As a result, he is no longer employed by the organization. We remain committed to fostering a culture based on respect, integrity and accountability.”
