EVANS, Ga. (WJBF)- A groundbreaking for a new restaurant concept will take place in Evans.
The restaurant is called Nordhavn-Rustik and its locally owned and like no other here in the CSRA.
This restaurant concept is made up of Scandinavian architecture with European style food.
Now there weren’t any previous talks with the community on wanting this style of restaurant
But the executive chef believes dinners will bring connection between family, friends and the ecosystem.
And he believes the restaurants unique two style concept will change people’s mind.
“So you have two concepts that are in one. Nordhavn being your more high end dining and then Rustik being a deli and a bakery that you can come hang out in, do your schoolwork, study or have small meetings. And it’ll be a breakout room at nighttime after the bakery closes for pharmaceutical parties or events, any sort of that,” said Justin Hayes.
Groundbreaking ceremony will take place at Evans Town Center at 1pm.
The restaurant is expected to open next Summer.
