Scott Baio is not dead. And he really wants you to know that. He’s just been chilling.
The Happy Days star took to his social media account and recalled a recent episode of Gutfeld! on Fox News, in which frequent guest and Fox News contributor, Tyrus, took what Baio, 64, said was a cheap shot at him.
“It was really unwarranted,” said Baio, who prefaced he’s a fan of the show. “He didn’t know if I was alive or dead.”
The Charles in Charge star then had a message for Tyrus.
“Well, Tyrus, just so you know, I’ve been in entertainment business since I was 9 years old. I don’t know how many television series’ I’ve had, maybe seven,” Baio said. “I don’t know how many movies I’ve done, how much directing I’ve done.
Baio noted that he had a show right up until 2016 before he was canceled after coming out in support of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump. Baio said that, over the last decade or so, he’s had the privilege of not having to work.
“I’ve done some work in between that, stuff with friends,” he said. “I’ve had the privilege and been blessed that I don’t have to do a damn thing. So, that’s where I’ve been.”
So here are my thoughts about last night’s episode on @Gutfeldfox and the cheap shot @PlanetTyrus fired at me. @greggutfeld pic.twitter.com/VK6NjpR7K8

While most of Baio’s fans came out and showed support in the comments section, some also wondered the same thing Tyrus wondered.
“Mr. Baio, I also saw the show, and in all due respect, I didn’t know if you were alive still either, Covid and all,” one fan replied. “Also, they all continued to say good things about you so please take it as the good natured banter it was meant to be.”
Another added, “A little pretentious making a video complaining about someone not keeping a status on you and making a small joke. You might just want to let that one go… Pretty sure if Scott didn’t keep up with his status or didn’t know who Tyrus was, Tyrus wouldn’t give a s–t.”
