Harry Redknapp’s Dorset mansion has been raided by masked robbers who stole his wife’s jewellery.

The former Premier League boss and wife Sandra, both 78, were out at the time of the break-in at their £5 million home in Sandbanks last Friday night.

The hammer-wielding thieves are understood to have made off with jewellery belonging to Sandra and other luxury items after smashing through the front door.

One theory detectives are said to be investigating is that the gang may have gone onto an online selling agents’ to scope the house’s floorplan before embarking on the raid.

A source told The Sun: ‘It was clearly organised. The raiders must have known the house was empty.’
