CDMX. The singer Laureano Brizuela He recently released the song “La Mitad de corazón” in collaboration with the maestro Alex Lora vocalist of El Tri, as part of new singles that he is presenting, and in an exclusive interview for Canton Group the artist advanced:
“We are very happy, we are already in the process of editing the video clip for “La Mitad del Corazón”, it was difficult to meet, Alex was on tour in the US and then he was preparing his concerts for the symphony at the National Auditorium, where by the way it would have been great to have participated and present the song with him, but I am also with presentations in the interior of the republic, in fact I was in San Cristóbal de las Casas, where it never ceases to surprise me that three attend generations, the grandfather, the father and the son, and everyone knows the songs,” the singer said animatedly.
And he continued: “We will soon release the video clip so that it can further reinforce the lyrics, the story, and for me it was a very rich experience to record with my dear Alex. I have been looking for someone to record with for a long time, in 40 years of career I have only recorded a couple of duets, “My little love” with Ednita Nazario and then one with the Argentine Patricia Sosa, and no more; just in July of this year, I turned 40, it was when the “El Ángel del rock” album was released and since then I did not record in my homeland and I returned, I always recorded in the US, so I met up with musicians, friends and so on. Now we are recording cinco remakeswhich are proven hits in new versions, and with friends, and now with much more satisfaction to return to them, because at that time they were newly written, I went into the studio, I recorded them, but over the years and after singing them so many times I realized that they deserved new arrangements and a new way of interpretation, also giving them in a different way to the new generations is very gratifying for me to do them again. The composer assured
He also added: “On the other hand five unreleased songswhich is one of the most profound things we have done in recent years, the album is titled “Espíritu Profundo” which in fact is the fourth single, the first was “Solo” a remake from 86, which I told you was very cool, I am now with vocal maturity, because when I recorded it despite being successful, I was very green; then the song with Lora that arises in January in the middle of the repertoire that I was preparing for this year, this blues was born, and I wanted to do a duet with someone who could express what the lyrics of the song say, we talk about an adult love, that hits you, but you can’t escape that sweet poison and you suffer when you don’t have that person by your side, you draw them on the walls or you smoke your life in a bar, thinking about that poison that seems to give you life but poisons you. From there I will tell you a very funny anecdote with Alex, I send him the lyrics of the song and I send it to him sung, and I tell him, you sing what you like, whatever you feel like, I tell him; and the answer was very Lora, Look, my dear teacher, I throw it all at you and you keep what you like or improve it and throw the rest away, the important thing here is that we do something together! He tells me” The singer told it and laughed out loud, while he said, sorry for the French.
And he continued, “Listening to Lora’s response with the producer Dany Vila, who by the way had a heavy metal band, he told me, but of course if Lora is the Mick Jagger of Mexico, I met him 40 years ago in Spain with my band “La Torre”. And we agreed, I admire Alex a lot, he is a very sensitive person, I loved the diversity of sounds between his voice and mine, that gave him the final charm, they are like two vocal visions, about the same poison of love, with the same intellectual intention. I compare Lora with Joe Cocker and even with Mick Jagger, Alex represents an artist of those dimensions that I mentioned and I have been a super fan of him, for me he is the number one in Mexico, the longest and the most energetic even in Mexican rock and within the world of rock there is the blues and someday we will do some music from the south of the US, the music of the blacks. The album will be physically ready by the end of the year and will be for collectors, since today our songs are in a cloud, the magic of having the album, of assembling the art, of the autograph has been lost. I like to make music in motion, and show the evolution that I am having and of the things that I would like to do are some shows with Alex Lora, I’m going to present to you some things that I’m working on, and if you like them, we could do some dates in Mexico and the US, each one with his band, and between band and band, sing together,” he assured. Laureano Brizuela.
