Donald Trump’s rumoured entanglement with paedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein appears to have become even more layered.
Speaking to reporters earlier this week, Trump appeared to insinuate that he knew Epstein ‘stole’ Virginia Giuffre, a high-profile accuser of the dead financier.
Trump told reporters he was upset Epstein was ‘taking people who worked for him’, adding: ‘The women were taken out of the spa, hired by him — in other words, gone.
‘I said, listen, we don’t want you taking our people,’ before saying that Epstein ‘stole’ Giuffre when asked if she was one of the employees taken by Epstein.
Giuffre had worked at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort when she was a teenager, which is where she met Epstein, before he was banned from the club for being a ‘creep’.
In a statement, the family of Giuffre, who died by suicide earlier this year, said: ‘It was shocking to hear President Trump invoke our sister and say that he was aware that Virginia had been ‘stolen’ from Mar-a-Lago. It makes us ask if he was aware of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s criminal actions, especially given his statement two years later that his good friend Jeffrey ‘likes women on the younger side.’”

They added: ‘We and the public are asking for answers; survivors deserve this.’
The latest development comes days after Trump said he ‘never had the privilege’ of visiting Epstein’s infamous island.
Trump said he rejected an invitation to the Caribbean island of Little Saint James, where many of Epstein’s alleged sex crimes were committed.
The US president has previously denied ever going to Epstein’s 75-acre paradise in the US Virgin Islands.
The disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, assisted by his girlfriend and accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, allegedly sex trafficked young women and underage girls on the island.
Trump added that he wouldn’t speak to Epstein for years ‘because he did something that was inappropriate’.

New photos of paedophile Epstein attending Trump’s second wedding ceremony were also found earlier this month.
The pictures from 1993 show Epstein attending Trump’s wedding to Marla Maples at the famous Plaza Hotel in New York.
Other footage of Trump and Epstein laughing together at a 1999 Victoria’s Secret fashion show was also uncovered by CNN.
When approached for comment regarding the new footage of him with Epstein, Trump told reporters, ‘You’re kidding me.’
He later dubbed it ‘fake news’, despite previous documentation of him rubbing shoulders with Epstein.
In a statement, the White House said: ‘These are nothing more than out-of-context frame grabs of innocuous videos and pictures of widely attended events to disgustingly infer something nefarious.
‘The fact is that the President kicked him out of his club for being a creep. This is nothing more than a continuation of the fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media.’
