With REANIMAL, the new horror game from developer Tarsier Studios, coming out next month, publisher THQ Nordic recently announced that a new demo is available on the Nintendo Switch 2—it is live in Europe at this point, while the U.S. version should be up shortly. A demo is also available on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox.
REANIMAL is a spiritual successor to the Little Nightmares series, the first two of which were developed by Tarsier, and was the No. 14 most-anticipated game on my list of 26 games to play in 2026. The full version is set to launch on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on Feb. 13.
How Does THQ Nordic Describe the REANIMAL Demo?
“In this co-op demo, players start at the very beginning, including the reunion of orphaned siblings trying to survive the most dire circumstances. The Boy and The Girl, our protagonists, then begin their desperate search for their missing friends together. Explore eerie environments such as the Mill and Trainyard, and uncover the first fragments of the dark mystery that binds this unsettling world.”
