Even if you’re not going for that look, there are some things that are worthy of extra tidying. Cardboard-style egg cartons are great because they can easily be recycled, but they can become flimsy or if they get wet, they’ll disintegrate, and as fragile as eggs are, I don’t want to make a giant mess in the fridge. When I get home from the grocery store with a fresh carton of eggs, I immediately transfer them to the plastic egg container and they have a specific spot in the refrigerator. When I need an egg or two or six, I simply reach in and grab them. No taking out the carton or lifting a lid. It sounds simple, but it really does make things easier when things at home are hectic.

If you do decide to place the included lid on top, other light items can be stacked on top of them so it’s not taking up too much fridge space. If you’re keeping track of measurements for planning purposes, the size of the egg storage container is 3 x 8.81 x 6.75-inches and it has wells fitted for a dozen eggs. It’s made of clear frosted food-safe plastic that should be hand washed only.
