Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan has shared a heartfelt message to fans on social media after her sister’s death, aged 19.
The TV personality, 33, shared her ‘immesurable grief’ at Darci Rose’s death on social media last week, telling followers she ‘passed away peacefully holding my hand, surrounded by family and her best friends’ in hospital.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson told Metro they had been called by hospital staff over the concern of welfare for a’19-year-old woman who had fallen seriously ill after it is believed she had taken drugs.’
In her message on Instagram, Hagan wrote she and her family were ‘traumatised in every sense of the word’ over the ordeal they had been through in hospital over the course of four days.
Fans flocked to share their support for the reality show star, including kind words of support and sending condolence gifts.
In a new post to her Instagram story, Hagan shared a bouquet of flowers with a wooden butterfly sticking out. She wrote as the caption: ‘I asked Darci to show me butterflies last week and this turned up.’
She then followed it up with a message of gratitude to her followers.
‘I also just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has messaged and sent flowers / food. I’m sorry I haven’t had time to respond to anyone.
‘It’s incredibly overwhelming even knowing where to start but I do appreciate you all so much.’
Her co-stars have also shown their support after reportedly donating thousands to Darci Rose’s memorial to give the grieving family time and space to process the tragedy.

‘Charlotte Crosby and her partner Jake Ankers have donated £2,000, Sophie Kasaei has given £1,000, Adam Frisby £1,000 and Gaz Beadle and Nathan Henry gave £500 each,’ an insider told The Sun.
Talking about her sister online at the time, whom she called the ‘best aunty’ to her son Alpha-Jax, she wrote: ‘Darci is so beautiful and she genuinely didn’t even realise it.
‘I always told her she’d look better without the huge spider lashes but we all know what a hypocrite I was being since I wore nine pairs at her age!
‘She lived in Darci world, forgetting to turn lights off, didn’t know how to lock doors after coming in from a night out, leaving the freezer open so my mam came down to a puddle of defrosted food.’
