Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) stoops to a whole new low in Hollyoaks next week as she attempts to traffic both Bobby Costello (Zak Sutcliffe) and Jacob Omari (Ethaniel Davy).
The Channel 4 soap supervillain is no stranger to going to the extreme, with recent scenes seeing her fake cancer as a way to get daughter Tori (Harriet O’Shea) back in her life.
Even her own sister Grace Black (Tamara Wall) found herself on the receiving end of Clare’s wrath, with the returnee attempting to have her sibling murdered.
And Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe), who was instrumental in her supposed death over a decade ago, is next in line for Clare as she is harbouring the former pub landlady’s fugitive son Bobby.
Clare made it quite clear that she intended to make Merce pay for what she did, biding her time by keeping Bobby away from prying eyes while the police conducted a manhunt in search of him.
Next week, her sinister plot comes to light as the show’s resident schemer goes on the run as she prepares to traffic Bobby – and Jacob, who was previously targeted by Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) as part of the child exploitation operation being run by Clare’s dead husband DI Banks (Drew Cain).
With the police closing in, Clare successfully throws them off the scent, sending them instead on a wild goose chase.
Afterwards, she takes the boys to a service station, where a sinister handover is set to take place.

Jacob informs Bobby of what Clare has planned for them and thus they put in motion a plan to run away from the service station.
The two plead with Clare to let them go. Clare, however, has planned for them to be collected, with a car subsequently pulling up outside.

Pictures confirm Bobby’s attempt to hightail it out of danger, pushing over a table as a method of distraction, but will he get away? And will Jacob, for that matter?
Mercedes subsequently receives a phone call from a frantic Bobby, but will he be able to tell her where he is?
And can Mercy locate him before Clare enacts her plot?
Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 6am on Channel 4’s streaming platform, or catch episodes on TV at 7pm on E4.
