Trigger warning: This article contains discussion of rape and sexual assault.
Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) is left reeling in Hollyoaks next week when he makes a discovery that changes everything.
The detective, as viewers know, was raped by gang member Griff (Nathan Bubble) last week after he was taken prisoner by the thug and his associate Sully (Harry French).
Donny Clark (Louis Emerick), who was beaten up by Sully, was then forced to watch as the ordeal took place.
Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) subsequently paid off Griff and Sully, securing Donny and Dodger’s freedom.
Donny, however, was livid in the wake of his colleague’s ordeal and thus accompanied Warren in a chase to locate the two thugs, with a collision ensuing.
Afterwards, the detective saw rapist Griff emerging from the wreckage and proceeded to attack him, with subsequent scenes seeing him declare Griff dead.
Dodger, meanwhile, has been struggling to cope in the wake of his ordeal. Next week, he tells the Superintendent about the assault and Donny is called into the station soon after.
And things take a very unexpected turn when Donny sees Sully in the other corner – and learns that he’s an officer!
Left with food for thought, Donny and Dodger discuss the events of the night they were attacked and what exactly they can do about it. But just what will they decide in the wake of their discovery?
Later, Gemma Johnston (Tisha Merry) finds Donny in a state and soon she is torn in all directions. Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi), meanwhile, leaves Donny a message in the hope that they can rebuild their relationship.
But will they be able to do so?
Elsewhere in the village…
It’s another emotional week in the village in the aftermath of the plane crash. The village is in mourning and the residents join together for a funeral.
The community rallies around those in need and, despite having just lost her daughter, Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) offers kindness to another resident.
Elsewhere, Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) suggests to Darren Osborne (Ashely Taylor Dawson) that Morgan have a playdate with the Hutchinson kids to keep things normal – but Darren asks her to stay away.
Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin), meanwhile, struggles to bond with her baby as her health spirals. Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) is on hand to try and reassure her.
And Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) gets a letter requesting that Zoe’s (Garcia Brown) new partner be allowed to adopt Theo, which prompts him to do a livestream urging other dads not to give up.
Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 6am on Channel 4’s streaming platform, or catch episodes on TV at 7pm on E4.
