Geek Window Cleaning went from a small side project to a thriving business thanks to the move from SEO to AI.
According to a Business Insider report, entrepreneur Kyle Ray said that his company, which achieved six-figure revenue in 2024, is “on the way to exceeding the million-dollar mark” in 2025.

From leading over Google to excelling through algorithms
Since founding his company in 2013, Ray has relied on appearing at the top of search results when writing “Houston window cleaning.” He said, “When you searched for Houston window cleaning, we appeared first.”
But in an interview with Business Insider, Ray explained that that stage has ended, saying, “We terminated our contract with the search engine optimization company. I no longer care about ranking on Google, because searches are rapidly heading toward zero.”
Instead of relying on traditional marketing, invest in an integrated technology system that relies on tools such as “GPT Chat,” “PriceGuide.ai,” and “ZiraTalk” to automate customer management, appointments, and pricing.
Intelligent automation replaces a large team
Ray says he uses AI not because he’s obsessed with technology, but because he wants to “provide a personalized service that maintains efficiency without the need for a huge team.”
He added, “No matter what your type of work is, if you are not playing the game of artificial intelligence, you will find yourself falling behind within a few years.”
By relying on the Service Monster platform, he is able to learn precise details about customers, such as the names of the pets in their homes, to provide what he calls “unprecedented and highly personalized hospitality.”
Practical applications of smart tools
- Ray uses “GPT Chat” daily to analyze profits and make financial decisions, explaining, “I alone manage the company, but I can create a virtual CFO or CEO within GPT Chat.”

- He uses tools like ZiraTalk and Chirp to manage calls and texts, saying, “I want all our calls to be answered immediately, and I don’t want any call to turn into a voicemail.”
- Making the customer experience completely automated, customers can now get a quote and book a service “from start to finish without talking to anyone.”
Lesson for small projects
According to the Business Insider report, Ray draws from his experience a basic message for entrepreneurs: “Artificial intelligence may seem complicated at first, but once you get used to it and learn to use it, you can get things done amazingly quickly, and money loves speed.”
He emphasizes that the future of small business will not be determined by the number of employees, but rather by the extent of the entrepreneur’s ability to harness artificial intelligence to increase productivity and improve customer experience.
