Brooklyn Beckham’s series of text-laden Instagram Stories have been the marmalade dropper heard around the showbiz world – even his fellow celebs are in disbelief.
After months upon months of speculation over a rift in the famous family unit, between the photographer-turned-chef and his famous parents, younger Becks confirmed he has no plans to mend fences.
And following such a highly-publicised admission – with reams of details from years gone by that fans are already starting to dissect – Brooklyn is probably in need of a comfort watch.
Actually, since it’s January and there could be another cold snap on the way in the coming days, we all are.
We already know which shows Brooklyn turns to when he wants a reliable binge watch with his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.
Speaking to The Times in 2023, he said: ‘I take my computer with me wherever I go because Nicola and I love watching TV shows and always have a series on the go.
‘If we’re staying in a hotel then we’ll get room service — my go-to order is chicken and chips with an ice water; Nicola goes for fruit and ice cream — and binge-watch something like Sex and the City or Gilmore Girls in the evening.’
Two classic choices there. There’s either Sex and the City for columnist Carrie Bradshaw, who put Manhattan and Manolo’s on the map for an entire generation of women, with a gaggle of pals to endure the highs and lows of dating.
Or there’s the cosy autumnal setting of Stars Hollow in Gilmore Girls, where coffee is king and your mum can be your best friend if she’s close enough in age.
Sex and the City is available to watch on NOW or Amazon Prime Video, while Gilmore Girls can be watched for free on ITVX or by those who have a Disney Plus subscription over there.
Those aren’t the only shows Brooklyn has admitted to a guilty watch of with Nicola, as he also told the publication they watched Love Island on their honeymoon in the south of France in 2022.
‘Being in such a gorgeous place with such a gorgeous person, I felt incredibly lucky, and no matter where I am with Nicola we always have the best time together,’ he started.
‘We were watching Love Island at the time and were really into it, so every time we went out for dinner we’d end up rushing back to the hotel and getting ice cream to eat while watching it.’
As if all Brooklyn’s prayers have been answered, there’s a new series of the ITV dating and mating game All Stars spin-off on the box at the moment (after a slight delay due to wildfires in South Africa).
