It’s Patrick Trueman’s (Rudolph Walker) birthday in EastEnders soon but while his family attend a party, a risky situation is unfolding at the Fox-Trueman household.
With his 85th fast approaching, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) spends the start of the week trying to organise a do. She asks at the pub if they can host the family, but Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) overrules an overwhelmed Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and agrees.
That afternoon, Linda is frustrated to find Elaine has left her to hold the fort alone again. George (Colin Salmon) steps in to help but when Elaine finds out, she reacts with anger, destroying any hope of a truce.
In the week, Yolande asks Jean (Gillian Wright) to keep Patrick busy while they make party arrangements. As they chat, Jean ends up telling Patrick about Kat (Jessie Wallace), who spends a few days trying to help Phil (Steve McFadden) with Nigel (Paul Bradley).

Patrick counsels Jean on the situation with Kat, advising her to make amends.
When the Trueman-Foxes arrive at the pub for Patrick’s party, the ladies are horrified at the display Elaine has put on, but Patrick is delighted. With the adults out, it allows the youngsters of Walford to attend a house party hosted by Denzel (Jaden Ladega).
He welcomes his mates over, and sends the likes of Raymond and Pearl away with a film. When the door goes, Joel (Max Murray) ends up getting himself an invite due to having alcohol in his hands.

A while later, Denzel and Joel head to the pub. Elaine takes a risk by letting them have a glass of punch each but unbeknownst to her, the boys steal jugs of the booze to take home.
When they get there, Denzel and Joel leave the jugs unattended, and are later horrified to realises Raymond and the twins have drunk the punch.
