Hulk Hogan and his daughter Brooke enjoyed a complicated relationship, particularly during the final years of the wrestling legend’s life.
According to a new report from Us Weekly, Hulk did not include Brooke as a beneficiary in his will, which includes nearly $5 million in assets. Us Weekly writes that Hogan’s son Nick, along with a many named Terry McCoy, filed court documents Tuesday to become co-representatives of Hulk Hogan’s estate.
“Nick was listed as the sole beneficiary of his father’s estate, while Hulk’s widow, Melanie Sky Daily, was listed as a surviving spouse. Brooke, 37, was not listed as a beneficiary,” Us Weekly said.
While this may seem like a harsh move on Hulk’s part, there is more to this story.
Brooke Hogan wanted this
Shortly after Hulk Hogan’s death at the age of 71 following a heart attack in late July, TMZ reported that Brooke, 37, had requested to be removed from her dad’s will in 2023.
At the time, Brooke had been estranged from her dad for several years.
“Sources close to Brooke tell TMZ that in 2023, she asked to be removed from Hulk’s will … because she didn’t trust a single person around him, and didn’t want to get caught up in a financial battle when he passed,” TMZ said.
TMZ added that Brooke Hogan will receive some money from a life insurance trust of which she is listed as one of the beneficiaries.
“My dad’s blood runs through my veins.”

Despite all of their trials and tribulations, Brooke Hogan has maintained that she loves her father. She also expressed concern over the circumstances surrounding his passing in the weeks following, even offering to pay for an autopsy to uncover more information about the official cause of death.
“My dad’s blood runs through my veins,” Brooke wrote on Instagram following Hulk’s death. “His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments.”
Additionally, while she did not attend his funeral on Aug. 6, Brooke did offer a heartfelt tribute to the WWE Hall of Famer.
Brooke honored her father in her own way
After skipping her dad’s funeral, Brooke Hogan shared a message to him in a lengthy social media post.
“My father hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn’t want one. And although I know people grieve in many ways – and I’m so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how…privately…the way that made me feel the closest to him,” Brooke wrote.
“Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved. Molly loved the water. I think she’ll be a ‘little fish’ as you called me. We love you and honor the things that made you so special. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you.”
