Hundreds of thousands of people protest in the United States against Trump’s authoritarian drift under the slogan ‘No Kings’

Hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets of the main cities of USA to protest peacefully under the slogan No Kings (“We don’t want kings”) against what they consider an authoritarian drift of the president Donald Trump.

The call brings together a wide range of demands, among which the rejection of the anti-immigration raids of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)health cuts, the deployment of the National Guard in some Democratic cities, attacks on the press or the violation of the separation of powers.

It is the second rally under this motto, after the march that mobilized five million people on June 14, according to the organizers. While waiting for official figures to be known, the largest cities in the country, such as New York, Chicago, Philadelphia or Los Angeles, have staged the most massive mobilizations.
