The FÄRGKLAR 18-Piece Dinnerware Set from IKEA is a find that caught my eye because of its classic and unique color options, economical price tag and high ratings. The set comes with 6 10 ¼-inch dinner plates, 6 7 ⅞-inch side plates and 6 6 ¼-inch bowls. Each piece is crafted from stoneware with a matte glazed surface in dark gray, light gray, green and turquoise.
Truthfully, we’ll only buy dinnerware that we’re going to use on a daily basis, which this is perfect for, if it is dishwasher safe, and this set is. It’s also microwave safe. We do think the dark gray and light gray colors are stylish enough to use for special occasions, though. And at just $49.99 for the entire set, we’re not throwing away big bucks on them either.
We also enjoy that IKEA sells an entire FÄRGKLAR line, so you can purchase other pieces to go with your dinnerware set. That includes deep 9-inch dinner bowls (a fan-favorite), 4-packs of dinner plates and bowls, single mugs and bowls and a serving dish with a lid. They also sell the 18-piece set in glossy, gold-rimmed light pink or light blue if that’s more your style.
