Aitch has opened up about his rumoured romance with fellow I’m A Celebrity star Shona McGarty.
Rapper Aitch, 25, and EastEnders star Shona, 34, have set tongues wagging after becoming close friends in the jungle over the past few weeks.
The rapper told Angry Ginge while in the jungle that he had a ‘soft spot’ for the actress, which immediately led viewers to read into their interactions and insist they saw a romantic connection.
However, despite speculation, the recently evicted star revealed to the Daily Mail that there wasn’t anything romantic going on between them.
‘Romantic, no, not at all, she’s a good friend of mine,’ he said.

‘I just think we had a bond over the music thing, 95% of the conversations we had in the Jungle were literally just about how sick she is at singing.’
‘I knew that she was trying to come out of the Jungle and pursue a music career.
‘I think this is just because of my age. She had the same conversations with Martin, but no one’s going to say she had a romance with him because Martin is married. So, unfortunately, I’m the next option,’ he said.
It comes after Ruby Wax told the Daily Mail earlier this week that she didn’t see Shona and Aitch getting together.
‘Oh, he’s not her type at all. She likes a hunky man, bigger men, so that she feels female, that’s what she told me.
‘He was not on the list at all, and their age difference.’
Ruby added that she thought they were both great and wanted them to get together ‘because I wanted them to get married,’ but she said it was a ‘no-go’.
Aitch was the highest-paid celebrity in the jungle and has had many high-profile relationships over the years.
He was previously in a public relationship with Australian model Lola Rose Thompson, but they split in late 2023.
In November 2023, Lola seemingly confirmed they had split by posting a video with the caption: ‘When you and your bestie are finally single at the same time’.
Earlier this year, their breakup turned nasty after Aitch ‘disrespectfully’ exposed her for soiling the bed.
Before Lola, Aitch was in a public relationship with Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg, which ended earlier in 2022. The pair have remained close friends since their brief relationship.
Just before entering the jungle, Shona split from her fiancé, musician David Bracken, after getting engaged the year before.
She previously dated EastEnders star Matt Lapinskas from 2011 to 2013. Between 2018 and 2020, she was engaged to long-term partner Ryan Harris, and in 2022, McGarty dated her EastEnders co-star Max Bowden for six months.
