Miami, Florida. -With an arrest warrant from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) issued more than four years ago, the Mexican businessman and lawyer Victor Manuel Alvarez Pugadriver’s husband Inés Gómez Montwas detained in Miami, Florida, by United States immigration authorities, and currently remains in custody at the Krome North SPC processing center.

According to him Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)the arrest was due to a matter related to his immigration status and is not directly linked to the criminal proceedings he faces in Mexico.

However, he also has an Interpol file for money laundering and organized crime, as it is worth remembering that the businessman is identified as co-founder of the firm Álvarez Puga y Asociados, investigated by the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) for operating a network of shell companies used to divert public resources during the six-year term of Peña Nieto, and is expected to soon begin his extradition process to Mexican territory.

His wife, the former television host, Inés Gómez Montwould have received part of the funds diverted through personal and corporate bank accounts, which led the FGR to include her in the arrest warrants issued in September 2021, and also has an active warrant from Interpol.
