Influencer mysteriously dies days after posting chilling TikTok video in clown makeup

A missing Mexican influencer has died, just days after posting a strange video on TikTok where she was wearing chilling clown makeup.

Marian Izaguirre, who has over four million followers, went missing in her hometown of Uruapan, Mexico on 1st September, days after posting the cryptic video. She was last seen at around 6pm in a red Kia Rio.

In the video, which is still on her TikTok profile and has more than 25 million views, the influencer painted her face white with a bright red smile and blue diamonds around her eyes.

While wearing the makeup, she lip-synced along to a song in various dark locations. This was one of four videos wearing clown face paint she had posted in the same week. She usually posted fashion content, so these were mysteriously out of place.

The influencer was found in a hotel in Morelia five days later, on 6th September, and taken to hospital, local outlet El Financiero reports. Her car was also found at the hotel.

She was then pronounced dead at the hospital in Morelia, Mexico, after suffering an injury that left her brain-dead, the Michoacán Prosecutor’s Office revealed. The exact injury has not been revealed.

In the strange video posted on 28th August, the popular fashion influencer lip-synced along to the track Porque Te Vas by Jeanette, which is about heartbreak.

When translated to English, the lyrics say: “Today in my window the sun is shining. And my heart is sad as it watches the city. Because you’re leaving. Like every morning I wake up. Thinking of you And in my clock I watched all the hours passing by. Because you’re leaving.”

“All the promises of my love will go with you. Why are you leaving?”  she wrote in the caption. It’s not clear whether the song choice was related to something going on in her own life, and the exact reason for her death remains unknown.
