Israel’s warplanes have again pounded Yemen’s capital of Sanaa amid the Houthis’ military support of Palestinians in Gaza.
As many as 30 strikes were recorded within 15 minutes, killing at least two people, but the death toll is likely to rise in the coming hours. Five others were also injured in the attacks.
Bombs hit just metres away from the presidential complex, missile bases, and oil and power stations.
The strikes were the first to hit Yemen since a week ago, when Israel said it targeted energy infrastructure it believed was used by the group.
The Iran-backed Houthis have launched missiles and drones toward Israel and targeted ships in the Red Sea for more than 22 months.
They say they are carrying out the attacks in solidarity with the Palestinians amid the war in the Gaza Strip.
