Mexico City, October 27 (However).- The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo responded this Monday firmly to the statements of the former president Ernesto Zedillowho assured that there is no longer democracy in Mexico.
For President Sheinbaum, the country is going through one of its most democratic moments and with greater freedom of expression.
“Never before in our country, no matter what they say, has there been such freedom of expression. We who lived through the times of the authoritarian PRI, of electoral fraud, can say without fear of being wrong that it is the moment of greatest democracy in Mexico and of greatest freedom,” he stated in his morning conference.
The federal president presumed that today the three powers are directly elected by the citizens and that individual freedoms are exercised without restrictions.
