Starting in 1962, with Dr. No, Sean Connery starred in five consecutive James Bond films. He took a break after You Only Live Twice in 1967, but then came back in 1971, for one more, Diamonds Are Forever, making six, his total number of “official” Bond movies. Then, in 1983, Connery did a kind of renegade Bond movie called Never Say Never Again, meaning, technically, he was in seven 007 movies total. Here’s where to stream each.

Sean Connery is, of course, more than James Bond. Here’s a selection of what we consider some of his best work outside of the world of 007.
- Marine (1964). Connery’s leading role in one of Alfred Hitchcock’s underrated thrillers. Streaming to rent on YouTube, Google Play, and elsewhere.
- Zardoz (1974). Connery’s misunderstood sci-fi masterpiece. Look beyond the thigh-high boots! Streaming on Prime Video.
- Highlander (1986). Connery famously stars as the immortal Ramirez, master swordsman, and mentor to Connor MacLeod. Streaming on Tubi.
- The Untouchables(1987). Brian De Palma’s classic mobster film, in which Connery plays Officer Jimmy Malone. Streaming on MGM+.
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Famously, Sean Connery played Indiana Jones’ father, Henry Jones, in this film. Because creator George Lucas had partially based Indiana Jones on James Bond, this was a bit of meta-casting. However, Connery and Harrison Ford were only 12 years apart in real life, despite playing father and son. Streaming on Disney+ and Pluto TV.
- The Hunt for Red October (1990). Technically part of the Jack Ryan saga, Connery plays submarine captain Captain Marko Ramius in this one. Streaming on Pluto TV.
- The Rock (1996). A classic Michael Bay action thriller, also starring Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris. Streaming for rental on Prime Video, YouTube, and elsewhere.
