Jake Paul came face-to-face with his next opponent Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davies for the first time ahead of their November showdown – with the staggering height difference between the two stunning boxing fans.
Paul and Davies will meet in an exhibition bout on 14 November in Miami with ‘The Problem Child’ taking on one of the most feared punchers in boxing, a five-time world champion fighting in his prime years.
The only issue is the remarkable size difference between the two men. Paul stands over six feet tall and regularly fights at 200lbs as a cruiserweight.
Davis has won 30 of his 31 professional fights, knocking out 28 of his opponents to date having developed a reputation for being one of boxing’s most devastating hitters.
But his success has come operating in boxing’s smaller weight classes, currently the WBA lightweight champion in a division where fighters weigh in between 130lbs and 135lbs.
The two fighters stood eye to eye for the first time this week at a press conference in Florida where the huge height difference between the two on show.
Paul stands at 6ft 1ins with Davis 5ft 5ins.
During their stare down, Paul crouched down to mock the shorter man, joking he has been ‘sparring eight-year-olds’ in preparation for fight night.
‘There’s a lot of punching down,’ Paul said.
‘Practicing hitting below my knees, and a lot of speed. We’re sparring some eight-year-olds, I got eight-year-olds in there.’
To add to the absurdity of it all, Davis appeared to forget what date the fight is happening.
‘I think it’s gonna be good, he been in the gym and he been boxing for a little minute now so he been taking it serious,’ Davis said.
‘We just gotta see what he brings come … uh… when are we fighting again?’

Paul vs Davis will be fought under exhibition rules – meaning the result of the fight will not appear on either man’s professional record.
But unlike other exhibition fights over the years, such as Logan Paul’s meeting with Floyd Mayweather in 2021 and Mike Tyson’s bout with Roy Jones’ Jr the previous year, this fight will have a winner.
The fight is scheduled for 10 rounds each lasting three minutes with a weight limit of 195lbs.
Both fighters will wear 12-ounce gloves with three judges set to score the bout if it does go the distance.
Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) co-founder Nakisa Bidarian said: ‘Sitting ringside will be three commission-approved world-class professional judges that will score every round to ensure there’s a decisive outcome for the fight if it goes the distance.
‘And both men are enrolled in the highest level of testing with Usada (US Anti-Doping Agency).’
