Jannik Sinner, Girlfriend Laila Hasanovic Caught in New Photo Together, Are ‘in Love’

An Italian journalist named Rolando Repossi has shared new details with Men’s Journal about Italian tennis superstar Jannik Sinner and his girlfriend, the Danish model Laila Hasanovic.

“They are considered to be in love, serene, and kind: well-liked by everyone in the neighborhood,” he said, in an email interview with Men’s Journal, when asked how Sinner and Hasanovic are regarded in Monte Carlo, where they were photographed together walking down the street.

Sinner has been very mysterious about his dating life, although he did reveal in an interview right before the U.S. Open that he is “in love,” confirming that he has a girlfriend. He made those comments to an Italian-language site called Corriere Della Sera, but he did not name her.

Repossi gave Men’s Journal permission to reprint the photo:

Repossi is the journalist who obtained a viral interview with the owners of a gelato shop in Monte Carlo, which is frequented by Sinner and Hasanovic, and he told Men’s Journal in an exclusive interview on Sept. 7 that the pair have been in a relationship for months. He wrote the gelato scoop for Dipiú Weekly Magazine, which contains the photo showing Sinner and Hasanovic walking together down the street.

The Journalist Says That Jannik Sinner & Laila Hasanovic Began Dating ‘Last Spring’

“The relationship began last spring,” Repossi told Men’s Journal. “Laila and Sinner have the same agent who manages their social media pages, the Italian Alex Meliss, and it is said in their circle that he introduced them.”

He added, “She is in New York and was also photographed in the stands, watching Sinner’s semifinal match. And it brought good luck because Sinner won that match.”

He also provided Men’s Journal with the link to his gelato shop reporting, which is in Italian. That article contains a photo of Sinner with the gelato shop owner, as well as details of the neighborhood, Hasanovic, and Sinner’s ice cream tastes.

“Jannik and Laila live together here in Monte Carlo, in the La Condamine district: our ice cream shop is practically under their palace. They often come here and are polite, kind and very in love,” he quoted the shop owner, Nicoletta Stampfl, as saying.

“You must know that Jannik is a great lover of ice cream. Since his parents work in the restaurant, at his home he tried all the tastes possible and imaginable, so he knows about it,” she added. “And when he comes here, he tastes before he decides. It indicates from the counter and I reach out a ‘palettina’ with a little ice cream that you want to try. Even if, in the end, he goes crazy only for two tastes…”

Laila Hasanovic Was ‘Giorgio Armani’s Last Muse,’ the Journalist Says

Repossi shed more light on Hasanovic’s career.

“Laila Hasanovic was Giorgio Armani’s last muse. Giorgio Armani himself chose the dress she wore to the Venice Film Festival for her. It was a kind of celebration of her beauty,” Repossi added in the interview with Men’s Journal. Armani has died at the age of 91.

“Laila, before she met Sinner, she was living permanently in Copenhagen, a short distance from the center, in the artificial lakes area,” he added. He determined through the Danish Chamber of Commerce that she had “registered a series of body cream brands with the aim of putting them up for sale. Unfortunately, however, the trademarks and patents office blocked her, and her ‘entrepreneurial adventure’ was on hold.”
