An Italian-language publication, Gazzetta, even reported how, at one match in May 2025, Sinner’s frazzled mom went for a walk outside. Siglinde is a former waitress, according to People, which noted that Sinner’s dad Johann (also called Hanspeter) Sinner is a chef. They met at a ski lodge.

“I left at the end of the first set. I’m taking a walk around here and waiting for the match to finish. I never watch Jannik’s matches live from start to finish—it rarely happens,” she added. “I prefer watching on TV. Only in Turin was I able to see the final live and a bit of the earlier rounds. My husband stayed; he has no problem with it.”

Sinner left the family home at age 13 to pursue tennis, according to People, but he has remained close to his mom and dad.
“I wish that everyone could have my parents because they always let me choose whatever I wanted to,” he said after winning the Australian Open, according to People.
