Since her mysterious arrival in Albert Square last month, it has been evident that EastEnders newcomer Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) has been hiding something huge.

She made it her mission to get a job at The Albert, even ousting Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) out of his role to secure the position, while also getting close to local lothario Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier)

More questions about her identity were raised earlier this week when she was involved in a car crash caused by Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley), who has dementia.

After she was rushed to hospital alongside other victim Gina Knight (Francesca Henry), Jasmine lied to Nigel and told him he was not driving in an attempt to conceal her secret.

But with Oscar’s suspicions about his love interest growing by the day, next week, he comes one step closer to uncovering the truth.

After he seeks advice from his older sister Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), Oscar decides to do some detective work and starts questioning Jasmine at The Albert.

However, following the conversation, it becomes clear Oscar is going to have to do some more digging… Will he find out what Jasmine is hiding?

Many fans of the BBC soap have speculated that Jasmine could have a connection to the infamous Ford family, who forced Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) into witness protection for 25 years.

Following her ‘return from the dead’ back in 2023, it was revealed that while in prison back in the 1990s, Cindy had acted as an informant on fellow inmate Jackie Ford, securing her release from custody and entering into a witness protection programme.

Cindy’s family were led to believe she’d died in childbirth, but in reality, she’d gone on to build a new life in Spain with George Knight (Colin Salmon) and their two daughters Gina and Anna (Molly Rainford).

With Cindy now living back on The Square and running The Albert following Jackie Ford’s death, she currently believes the threat she once posed is in the past.

But could Jasmine be a relative of Jackie’s seeking cold-blooded revenge? We’ll just have to stay tuned to find out!

EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 27 October at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
