Jason Bateman and Jude Law Reveal 1 Thing Fans Get ‘Totally Wrong’ About Them

Fans of Jason Bateman and Jude Law are gearing up for the duo’s highly anticipated upcoming Netflix series, Black Rabbit. Ahead of the show’s Sept. 18 release date, Bateman and Law were in attendance for the Black Rabbit world premiere, which took place at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.

While speaking with reporters, the duo answered a variety of questions; however, one interesting one came from the Canadian entertainment news TV show, Etalk, which got a bit personal with Bateman and Law. The results didn’t disappoint either, as both actors were asked to reveal one thing that fans get completely wrong about them.

Jude Law Wants Everyone to Know He’s Not Boring

While both actors initially struggled to come up with an answer, Law joked that the response “could go so many directions.” He did come up with an answer, and it was somewhat shockingly honest, although I’m not positive that all fans will be in agreement with the 52-year-old actor.

I was gonna say, I’m actually quite interesting.” Law said, as Bateman sarcastically shook his head in disagreement. “That’s just my public persona…I put out this sense of boring.”

Bateman laughed while responding, “and then they meet him and go, ‘he’s actually kind of great.’”

Bateman was thinking of an answer before Law ultimately gave an interesting one for him.

“You like to scooter,” Law said.

“Oh, yeah, I got myself an electric scooter for this job,” Bateman agreed.

Law then proceeded to explain how Bateman’s new scootering habit “scared the life” out of those on the Black Rabbit set.

”He scared the life out of us,” Law said. “He was living close enough to scooter to work and was like zipping off, no helmet, at the end of every day. I was like ‘You got all our responsibility.’”

So, there you have it, Jude Law isn’t boring (which it seems some may think), and Bateman is now a big fan of the electric scooter life.

‘Black Rabbit’ Debuts to Strong Reviews

While Black Rabbit won’t officially come to Netflix until Sept. 18, the initial reviews have started to trickle in. It’s still early, and only the critics’ scores have debuted on Rotten Tomatoes ahead of the official release, but through the first handful, Black Rabbit checks in with an 86 percent score.

The show highlights Law as the owner of a restaurant in New York, who allows his troubled brother (Bateman) to return to the family business. This leads to some significant issues, as Rotten Tomatoes detailed.

“When the owner of the hottest restaurant in New York allows his troubled brother to return to the family business, he opens the door to old traumas and new dangers that threaten to bring down everything they’ve built,” the site wrote, detailing the show.

With Bateman and Law on board, paired with the show’s backstory, it has all the makings of a hit, but as always, the fans will decide when Black Rabbit officially becomes available to stream.
