The engagement announcement that shook up the world is still being talked about, as Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift officially revealed their intent to marry ahead of the upcoming NFL season.
Kelce’s proposal to Swift broke the internet, and it seems that everyone with an opinion has weighed in. Swift’s fans appear to be extremely happy for her after years of turmoil in her personal relationships, and many of them have warmed to Kelce over the last two years.
The singer and football player have been extremely supportive of one another. Kelce has appeared at and participated in her concerts, and Swift frequently attends Kelce’s games with the Chiefs.
Jason Kelce Couldn’t Be Happier For His Brother
During a recent podcast appearance, Travis’ older brother Jason reflected on one of the most positive moments in Travis and Taylor’s relationship.
During last month’s viral episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Swift complimented Kelce by comparing him to a “human exclamation point.” Jason, appearing on another podcast, said that it was a perfect way to encapsulate his brother and what he brings to the world.
“The human exclamation point was the best way I’ve ever heard Travis described in my life. I think it’s such an accurate statement,” Jason said on Tuesday’s episode of the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast.
“The dude just brings joy to every place he ever is, and people love him. And he makes everything better.”
Jason added that seeing his younger brother excel professionally while also having the support of his now-fiance is something he’s extremely proud of.
“I think first of all, I love my brother, and I just want him to have the most fulfilled, best life possible. And such a huge part of that is like, you know, who you end up marrying, who you end up raising a family with,” said the former Philadelphia Eagle.
“I know the kind of person he is, and I’ve been blessed to get to know Taylor over the last couple years. And I just think that they match so well together. They are unbelievably supportive of each other and both of their outlandishly successful worlds.”
Jason and Travis Kelce’s Rise to Fame
Jason and Travis Kelce have become household names over the last three years, beginning with their matchup against one another in the Super Bowl. Travis’ Chiefs would get the better of Jason’s Eagles that day, but the Eagles would return the favor two years later to win the most recent Super Bowl.
Jason retired after the 2023 season, and some speculated that Kelce would do the same after the Chiefs’ loss to the Eagles in the Super Bowl. The future Hall of Fame tight end is back for at least one more year, and he’ll turn 36 years old in a matter of weeks.
We’ll see what Kelce can do in the twilight of his professional career, but it seems that everything is coming together for him off the field.
