Jennifer Aniston has sent her followers into a spin after appearing to soft launch a brand new relationship on Instagram.
The love life of the American actress, 56, who played Rachel Green in Friends between 1994 and 2004, has been in the spotlight for 30 years now.
Her highly publicised marriage to Brad Pitt in the 2000s was the subject of significant media attention, as was her 2010s relationship with actor Justin Theroux.
It might be 30 years since she first burst into showbiz, but Jennifer’s latest post has arguably proven once and for all that her fans are still keen for her to find her soulmate.
With the end of the summer now fast approaching, numerous celebrities are making Instagram posts which are full of sun-kissed photos from their July and August getaways.
The Horrible Bosses star joined in by posting 18 pictures which were taken over the last few months, captioning the post ‘Thank you summer’ as she shared the snaps with her 44.5million followers.
While one of the pictures showed her reuniting with her Friends co-star Courteney Cox, it was the penultimate picture in the gallery that caught the eye.
Instagram user Andrea_PortugalDeveza commented, ‘You think we wouldn’t notice photo number 17?’ and accompanied her comment with a dozen heart emojis.
JenAnistonWorld added, ‘Oh hello 17 pic,’ while NicoleDavidson speculated that picture 17, featuring a mystery man, was in fact ‘the soft launch’ of a new relationship.
The picture in question featured a man sitting on a beach and staring out at a sunset, with his face hidden from view and the camera zoomed in on the back of his neck.
Despite the efforts to conceal his identity, fans have speculated that the mystery man is in fact Jim Curtis – an author and life coach whom Jennifer has been spotted spending time with recently.
In July, Jennifer and Jim sparked romance rumours after being spotted on a luxury yacht together, with the two holding hands and sitting on a bench together.
Shortly after that, the pair were spotted leaving a restaurant together, with Friends star Courteney also at the dinner with her partner, singer-songwriter Johnny McDaid.
A source told The Mail last month: ‘They do everything together, they are always together, and if they have to be away from each other, they are on the phone all the time. They are so hot and heavy, it’s crazy.

Daniel McDonald (1990-1995): Before she was famous, Jennifer dated a man named Daniel, whom Jennifer described as her ‘first love’. Daniel sadly died from cancer in 2007, with Jennifer saying after his death: ‘He would have been the one.’
Adam Duritz (1995): After he split from Daniel and as she rose to fame on Friends, Jennifer briefly dated Adam Duritz, the singer of the band Counting Crows. Adam would eventually date Courteney Cox.
Tate Donovan (1995-1998): Jennifer and Tate dated for three years and eventually split in 1998. Ironically, the two split just as Tate was briefly cast in Friends as Rachel’s love interest Joshua for six episodes.
Brad Pitt (1998-2005): Jennifer and Brad first met each other in 1998, with their budding love highly publicised. They tied the knot in the year 2000, but finalised their divorce in 2005.
Vince Vaughan (2005-2006): Shortly after he separation from Brad, Jennifer began dating actor Vince Vaughn, with Jennifer describing him as ‘the defibrillator who brought me back to life’.
John Mayer (2008-2009): Jennifer and musician John Mayer briefly dated after her split from Brad, but despite having a ‘deep relationship’ they called it quits for ‘life reasons’.
Justin Theroux (2011-2017): Two years after her split from John, Jennifer met actor and direction Justin Theroux – cousin to documentarian Louis. They became engaged in 2012 but separated in 2017.
‘The amazing thing is that they click really well because they have the same interests like meditation, yoga, therapy and dogs,’ the source continued.
On his own Instagram page, which has over 600,000 followers, Jim says his mission in life is to ‘help you heal and thrive by upgrading your “I am”‘.
His feed consists of videos that offer advice on relationships and manifesting, while complimenting people on their individual bravery and self-worth.
The latest post from Jennifer comes just a few short weeks after she made heartbreaking comments about the death of her friend and former co-star Matthew Perry.
She said of Perry (via Vanity Fair) – who died in October 2023, aged 54: ‘As hard as it was for all of us and for the fans, there’s a part of me that thinks this is better. I’m glad he’s out of that pain.’
