Jessie J has revealed an unlikely bust-up with Spice Girls star Mel B after the pop icon branded her a ‘d******d.’
The Price Tag hitmaker, 37, spoke to Harriet Rose on her Kiss FM show about the feud, which seemingly came out of nowhere.
‘Let me just talk about something that I’ve never talked about,’ the singer began.
‘I’ve never worked with this person, but I just want to acknowledge it in this moment because I feel safe. I probably shouldn’t, but here we go.’
She revealed that the Spice Girls star, 50, called Jessie a ‘d******d, out of nowhere’ during a television appearance back in 2022 on the Big Narstie Show.
Harriet then added: ‘I saw this clip and I don’t want to say it because it’s very wrong, but she said that you were overrated.’
But as it turned out, this was a different instance in which the singer slated Jessie.
‘No, no that was one time, but then there was another interview where someone said to her “who are three people that are being a d******d,” and she named me, Geri Haliwell, and James Corden.
‘And I was like I’ve literally met her once.’
Mel made the comments to Mo Gilligan after he asked her who she thought the ‘biggest d******d celebrities’ were.
‘So, there’s a few,’ she began. ‘James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J, and me.’
On naming her Spice Girls bandmate, she responded: ‘I love her to bits, but she’s really f*****g annoying.’
Of James, she said: ‘I think you always have to be nice to the people that you work with—whether it be production, camera guys, sound, lighting—we all work for the same thing.
‘You should always be nice, and he hasn’t been very nice.’
Mel previously called Jessie the ‘most overrated’ pop star in a 2019 interview with Heart Radio.
Jessie responded to the jab with an Instagram video performing her vocals acoustically, with the caption ‘”Overrated’ *Mel B voice*’
