Jessie J has revealed a meaningful new tattoo she got following her breast cancer diagnosis.
She told fans she was diagnosed with ‘early breast cancer’ a few months ago, emphasising to fans that she’s holding onto the world ‘early.’
The 37-year-old singer – who is best known for hits including Price Tag, Domino and Bang Bang, as well as appearing on The Voice UK, The Voice Australia and The Voice Kids UK – posted a video to Instagram sharing the news.
Jessie explained she received the health news just before the release of her song No Secrets in April.
‘Before No Secrets came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,’ she explained.
‘I’m highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form but I’m holding on to the word early.’

Jessie explained she’s been ‘in and out of tests’ in the months since and wanted to share the update with her fans to try and be ‘open’ about what she’s currently dealing with.
‘I just wanted to be open and share it because selfishly, I do not talk about it enough,’ she went on.
‘I’m not processing it because I’m working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support, and also their own stories.
‘I’m an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much. Similar and worse.’
Jessie then spoke about facing a ‘weird topic and weird situation’ in regards to undergoing surgery on her breasts.
She then joked: ‘I’m getting to keep my nipples … that’s good. It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job!.
More recently, she took to Instagram to share a photo of her new tattoo – a line drawing of two fluffy clouds overlapping.
She captioned the video, which depicted her getting the design inked onto her forearm: ‘I got this tattoo the day we shot the Living my best life teaser video, I posted on my story I wanted a last minute tattoo to remember this day and moment and within an hour I was in @talbooker chair •
‘Thank you @talbooker you are so talented but most important kind and made me feel instantly comfortable to do this so impulsively. Energy is 🔑’
She continued, sharing the tattoo has a deeper meaning: ‘I got this tattoo to remind me there is always a silver lining to every cloud. My @chanancolman and my sky. My happy clouds. ☁️☁️
I wore this T shirt because it had my lucky number 27 on my naughty boob. Thank you @madeleinebowdenstyle Living my best life is out now • Streaming on all platforms. Run it up. 📣📣📣📣’
Jessie previously told fans she’s about to ‘disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery. And I will come back with massive boobs and more music,’ referencing the breast augmentation she’ll get after undergong a mastectomy to treat her cancer.
She added: ‘You know what, to get diagnosed with this as I’m putting out a song called No Secrets right before a song called Living My Best Life, which was all pre-planned before I found out about this, I mean you can’t make it up.’
Jessie is due to play at Capital’s Summertime Ball 2025, which will be held at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday June 15.
In 2023 Jessie welcomed her first child, son Sky, with professional basketball player Chanan Colman.
